HIGHLIGHTS:
Incorporating Kodak's state-of-the-art KAI-4021 progressive scan CCD sensor, the GE2040 runs 15 frames per second at 2048x2048 resolution over its Gigabit Ethernet interface. Both monochrome and color models of the GE2040 are available with either C-mount or F-mount. The camera housing measures approximately 4x5x6.5 centimeters making it the smallest camera in its class. Like all of Prosilica’s cameras, the GE2040 has an electronic shutter suitable for capturing high-speed motion events. A rich set of features including external trigger and sync, general purpose I/O, region of interest readout, various binning modes, and direct RGB24 output make this camera suitable for a wide variety of applications. Such applications include PCB inspection, flat panel display inspection, gauging, medical imaging, and general machine vision. The high resolution and snapshot shutter make the GE2040 particularly suited to traffic and public security applications.
